La Paz County Sheriff's Department Roundup
La Paz County Sheriff’s Seargent Alan Nelson, Deputies Jeff Haynes, Deputy Lucas, Deputy Cruscell and others are regular contributors to Mornings with Keith & Juanita, as they come in regularly to provide the Sheriff’s Department Roundup. They usually stick around for a while to join the mayhem, and to provide the constant, remote possibility of someone being ‘tased’ with their Taser stungun live on the air. Both Keith and Juanita have had this interesting experience, and the results weren’t pretty, as listeners who heard it will remember.
The Roundup lists daily the names of some of those who have been arrested by our law enforcement agencies, and what they were arrested for. It is provided as a public service that keeps citizens aware of what is happening in their community, and permits local law enforcement agents the opportunity to engage with the public on-air. As we all know, suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
La Paz County Sheriff's Department is known as a modern progressive agency, with personnel assigned to many diverse positions; including Law Enforcement Patrol activities, Criminal Investigations, Boating Safety Patrol, School Resource, D.A.R.E., Detention managing 235 inmates daily. The La Paz County Sheriff's Department also supports many volunteer groups; including Search and Rescue on land, water and in the air, Sheriff's Reserve Program, Citizen's Patrol Program, and Volunteers in Protection.
